Dear Readers,

Happy, positive, healthy and creative New Year!!

We have decided that for the 3rd issue (December 2011) of Synergasia journal we will present articles of the authors’ choice, same as with the 2nd issue (September 2011).

The articles refer to European educational programs, library activities, school libraries and the economic crisis in libraries from Greece, Germany, Italy and Spain. A new section, called Library Info Alert, hosts the publication by the IRC, American Embassy in Athens.

The interview with Mrs. Diane Kresh, Director of Public Libraries System, Arlington, MA is a re-publication of the interview from the newspaper, Kathimerini, with the permission and consensus of the journalist.

Finally, we wish to thank the contributors to the present issue and to announce that the issue no.1 (April 2012) will focus on the topic promoting libraries and their services. We will welcome ideas, experiences, best practice examples and programs on marketing libraries. It is advised that the articles are submitted by April 10, 2012.
