Suzanne DaviesSuzanne Davies is director and chief curator of RMIT Gallery, Melbourne, Australia. She trained both as an artist (RMIT) and as an art historian (University of Melbourne and La Trobe University), lecturing in Art History and Theory at the University of Melbourne.

Suzanne Davies has extensive editorial experience and since 1980 has published catalogue essays, reviews, theoretical texts, interviews and general journalistic articles nationally and internationally. Suzanne Davies is an experienced arts jurorist and curator having managed some 127 exhibitions to date. In 1997 Suzanne Davies was appointed by the Federal Government to the Board of the Australian Business Arts Foundation and has been reappointed through to October 2006. In 2000 she was appointed to the Federal Government’s Committee on Taxation Incentives for the Arts and was appointed Chair in 2002. She is immediate past President, Museums Australia, Victoria, and was appointed in 2004 to the Board of the Australia India Council. She is currently working on an international exhibition for the Commonwealth Games 2006.
