ChopShots 2014 has concluded successfully on April 27th, 2014. Not only showcasing a great diversity of stories, voices and approaches to storytelling from the region and across the globe, ChopShots has been an amazing platform to connect Southeast Asian filmmakers with international experts beyond the region. The Festival stands for quality films and exciting new discoveries that have been deeply appreciated by 3,200 visitors and international guests of this year’s festival in Jakarta.
ChopShots is also a learning platform, where resourceful and lively master classes and discussions take place.
After tough and deliberate debates, the jury members awarded “Best International Feature Documentary” to Wukan: The Flame of Democracy by Lynn Lee and James Leong. Madam Phung's Last Journey by Nguyen Thi Tham receives a “Special Mention”. The awards “Best Southeast Asian Short Documentaries” go to Where I Go by Kavich Neang (1st prize) and Flaneurs#3 by Aryo Danusiri (2nd prize).
