Estan Cabigas born 1974 in Cebu City, Philippines
A former telecoms engineer, Estan has switched to freelance photography and graphic design. His first break is a book entitled Philippine Church Facades launched in August 2007. He is now taking his diploma in Photojournalism with a scholarship grant from the Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism. Photography for him is not only a way to communicate how he perceives his world and environment, his feelings and disposition, the photographic image is also a means to effect change for the better. His last exhibition was “Surfacing: A Photo Project on the Lives of Families of Desaparecidos”, Various venues in Metro Manila, December 07 – March 08.
