Sandhya Gopinath born 1984 in Chennai, India
I am currently pursuing an MFA at Lasalle College of Arts, Singapore; I was supervised by the eminent Indian artist AV Ilango in Chennai from 2003 – 2007. Though I was trained as a painter, photography was always a part of my creative process. I was intrigued by the fact that one can freeze time and capture the moment. Recent exhibitions: ‘Voices’ a group exhibition of paintings at Vinnyasa Art Gallery, Alwarpet, Chennai, India, 2007.
