Born: 1970 - Ha Noi

Mai´s Gallery, located in Ho Chi Minh City, was established in 2002 with the aim to promote contemporary fine arts in South Vietnam. Local and international artists as well as the interested public can find there a forum to exchange experience in perceiving, presenting and reflecting on art. As a director of the Gallery who is also in charge of organising exhibitions and art projects, Do Thi Tuyet Mai faces many challenges due to the current situation in Vietnam where concepts of curatorship are rather unknown. She is presently engaged with the organisation of the Pre-Biennale in Ho Chi Minh City, which will be held in 2006. Do Thi Tuyet Mai completed her masters programme in Finance and Banking at the Economic University in Ho Chi Minh City and is continuing her studies in the Ph.D. programme in the same field.
