Ms Sue Hajdu, Hungary (based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam)
Born: 1966 in Melbourne, Australia

Sue Hajdu´s activities as a curator were initiated by exhibiting her father´s photographs (Hajdu Laszlo) of the 1956 Hungarian Uprising, an initiative which is being developed into a a full-scale publication and touring exhibition. Born in Melbourne, where her family finally moved to after leaving Hungary in 1956, Sue Hajdu completed her studies with a MA in Visual Arts at the Sydney College of the Arts (2000). Artistic activities as a visual artist based in photography and installation, such as various solo and collaborative exhibitions and research in Vietnam brought her in close interaction with the local art in that country. In 2001, Sue Hajdu settled in Ho Chi Minh City where she has curated, coordinated, and advised several exhibitions, among others 600 Images and Yokohama Triennale. Being co-founder and co-director of the artists’ initiative, a little blah blah (albb) she is also engaged with issues of art practice in a more theorised and verbalised manner. albb is an independent art platform which presents exhibitions and events, talks and presentations, performance, residency programmes, and networking. Sue Hajdu also lectures in Multimedia at RMIT International University Vietnam.
