A unique Georgian extension of the Goethe-Institut Dublin was converted into The Return gallery in September 2002.
Works by Irish, German and international artists are displayed in the gallery.
Room specific installations have very successfully promoted young artistic talent, and commissioned exhibitions have attracted steadily increasing attention for the "newest and smallest gallery in the country" (The Irish Times) on the Irish art and visual media scenes.
The commited collaboration of its curators Mark Garry, Georgina Jackson and Jonathan Carroll has contributed to the gallery's success story. In choosing "their" artists, they have invested much effort in developing projects and building artistic relations and networks.
This valuable contribution to contemporary art would not be possible without the support of the Patrons and Friends of the Goethe-Institut Dublin.
