Roopa Vishwanath

Having joined the Goethe Institut at the B1 level, the highlight of my day would be to come to class. I had never experienced teaching as it is done at the GI and that, combined with my love for the language, made the entire experience a delight. When I started my C1 course, I started thinking "what next?". Not coming to the GI anymore was an unthinkable option. There was one option available to me - the Deutsch Lehrer Ausbildung, or Teachers Training.

Encouraged by my teachers, I dared to take this next challenging step.

It is said that nothing precious is attained without a whole lot of hard work.

This is especially true of this course! For almost 1 year my colleagues and I were trained intensively by one of the best teachers I have ever hard, who managed to mould us into shape, from lumps of clay! We were challenged to our depths and we explored capabilities which we never knew existed. Sweat, tears, exhilaration and a tremendous sense of achievement at the end of our first year.

I can easily say that I have probably learnt more in this course than in any other course I have ever been to. It has made me strong, resilient and confident. I can hardly believe that I am on the other side of the GI classroom now!

Deepaks experience about Teachers training program at the Max Mueller Bhaven:
“The course taught us, in a very methodical manner, how to teach a foreign language in a communicative and creative way.
We enjoyed the experience as we took small steps to finally teaching our own course.”

The idea of learning a foreign language is exciting and appealing to most. We look forward to hearing in a great environment about a language and a culture. Max Mueller Bhavan has a perfect mix of everything. Not only do you learn the language inside the classroom, you also learn about the culture through various activities. The teachers here are approachable and helpful and provide a wonderful learning experience. The institute also boasts of a well-stocked library that enhances the learning experience. You have access to novels, short stories, magazines, grammar books and movies. This gives you a larger platform to improve your grasp of the language. The institute also hosts cultural fests and events which allows you to experience Germany, right here in Bangalore! I am now in B2.2 and have had a great time here. I look forward to completing the remaining levels here!

I study German at the B2.2 level. My journey and love for the language has grown in leaps and bounds. I am working in a German Banking Institution but it did not stop me from attending the “Unterricht”. Only Max Mueller Bhavan made it possible. An institution full of knowledge. Anyone who wishes to study German language I can bet no other place is worth visiting except Max Mueller Bhavan. This institution is student friendly. Only because of its welcoming nature have I studied so far.

My name is Bhanu. I'm an engineer by profession and have worked 5 years as an HR Consultant. At the moment I'm on a little baby break.

When I was a child, I always wanted to learn a foreign language, but unfortunately I did not have much time. I have been learning German at the MMB (Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan) regularly. Now I'm in grade B 2.2. At first I was a bit shy. The language is a real challenge. But I met people from different cultures. The teachers are polite, humorous and always helpful.

The library is a real treasure trove. There are children's books, magazines, DVDs, etc. The students have such a great opportunity to improve their language skills. We also celebrate many German festivals. Special for me is Christmas. I think at least once in your life you should celebrate this festival.

Every day is a new challenge and I'm always eager to go to my German class. Finally, I would like to say that I am very happy about my contact with the MMB. I would advise you to not only learn German at MMB, but also learn and experience German culture.
