About myself...I am a Bangalore-based photographer.
My first contact with Goethe-Institut …
I was commissioned to do an exhibition on water in the city of Bangalore by the previous Director.
The most important thing for me in my association with the Goethe-Institut …
The Institute has been a great patron of mine. I have worked on four photographic exhibitions with them, which allowed me to meet and work with other photographers, which is not something that happens very often. The most memorable incident … The staff are very friendly and efficient, especially the great guys who help me hang the exhibitions.
What makes the Goethe-Institut special - and different from other cultural organisations…
I believe that the Institute is interested in the city in which it is based and involves itself in its problems and issues and tries to be pro-active toward them, encouraging Bangaloreans to come forward as a forum using the Institute as a platform to rediscover its history and culture
My expectations for the next 50 years …
It is good to see German artists, film makers and photographers work, and interact with them at the Bhavan.
