What is the eLibrary?
The eLibrary is the virtual library of the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan in India. This service allows you to borrow digital media, such as ebooks, audio and video files, electronic newspapers and magazines, for a predetermined period of time. Simply download it on your computer, your tablet or your eReader or even use it through an app in your smartphone.
With our eLibrary borrowing media is at your fingertips 24/7.
Returning media isn't necessary. At the end of the loan period, the media automatically becomes unavailable.

Anyone interested who lives in India can register for the eLibrary.
On which devices can I access the eLibrary?
The eLibrary supports several file formats and almost all popular computers and mobile devices, such as PC, tablet, smartphone or an eBook-Reader. The Kindle, which is only compatible with Amazon-products, is an exception.
The use of eLibrary media on Apple and Linux powered devices is limited because Apple and Kindles have their own digital rights management (DRM), which is not compatible with the eLibrary's DRM, only eBooks in the ePub format can be used at the moment.
Please check the
Minimum Technical Requirements for eLibrary Use
