IGNOU Teacher Training Programme

Teachers Training in German

Would you like to teach German in a school, college or a professional language institute?

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan and the University of Vienna is happy to announce the first German language teachers' training programme in India “Diploma in Teaching German as a Foreign Language” via the distance-learning mode.

Eligibility: Bachelors’ Degree in any subject plus knowledge of German (Level B1 “Zertifikat Deutsch” or higher).

The first course started in autumn 2010 with over 350 students in Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune. The course consists of 4 modules and combines effectively the advantages of self-study in distance mode, contact classes and workshops with practical training at a German Partner School.

We wish all the students enrolled in Kolkata an interesting and fruitful learning experience.
