Schoolchildren in India and Germany in the age group between 10 and 13 years had taken part in this international competition.
The first part of the project was web based and required each school to send in one picture selected from the many photos taken by their two participating students on a weekly basis on a topic that changed weekly.
The second part of the competition was a long term documentation of the children’s neighbourhood. They decided for themselves on an aspect they would have liked to explore photographically over a sustained manner in a series of pictures thus facing a new challenge rather different from the earlier web based part.
In January 2008 a jury of experts awarded exciting prizes to the best photographs at a special ceremony held at the Max Mueller Bhavan. A visitor to this webpage could vote for his/her favourite picture of the week and send it to relatives and friends as e-cards.
