Dawngi Chawngthu was born in the 60’s and grew up with the music of the Beatles and The Seekers in her head. An educationist by profession, Dawngi is a passionate writer, she says she loves to play with words and on lucky days a poem takes shape. Her poetry has been translated into several languages and form part of published Anthologies. Her first solo publication of 55 poems titled ‘of butterflies and lullabies and unfinished conversations’ was published by Writers Workshop, Kolkata in December 2015.
