On 7th March 2009 the Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with four schools in Mumbai during the inauguration of the new PASCH office.
The partner schools are:
- R A Podar College Of Commerce & Economics, Matunga
- Sathaye College, Vile Parle
- Bombay International School, Babulnath
- Garodia International Centre for Learning, Ghatkopar
Under the terms of the MoU, German will be introduced as an option in the partner schools. The teachers will be trained and offered refresher courses for teaching German as a Foreign Language. They and their students will have opportunities to visit Germany. The initiative also foresees providing support in the form of technical hardware, teaching materials, websites, platforms and interactive competitions to network the partner schools with each other. German Language Rooms will be set up in every partner school as an additional incentive for students.
