Translation Course 2011

The course ‘Introduction to Translation Techniques’ of the Goethe-Institut, Mumbai is a unique endeavour to bridge the gap between the academic world and the job world. During the learning phases in Mumbai and in Germany, we could enhance our language skills, translation skills, intercultural skills and market skills while combining class work and field work. After an intensive lecture schedule during the week, our partner, ZIK of The Johannes Gutenberg University (Germany) organized innumerable leisure and cultural activities on week-ends, ranging from visits to art galleries, museums, palaces, organizing film shows and industry visits. All in all it was an experience that we will cherish for years to come because of the enriching interactions with the course participants, lecturers and locals in Germany.
