It gives me great pleasure to inform you that the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) is organizing a full day seminar, entitled Discover Germany, Higher Education & Beyond at the Y. B. Chavan Auditorium, General Jaganath Bhoshle Marg, Mantralaya, Mumbai, on Sunday, 22nd November 2009 from 0900 to 1700 hrs.

This seminar, intends to give first hand information on various aspects of German higher education, including information on German universities, research institutes, scholarships, German language, visa procedures, etc. Experts will give insights into these and other issues and will highlight and discuss the salient features of the special DAAD initiative christened “A New Passage to India“.

The objective of the support package ’A New Passageto India’, is to kindle interest among German students of all disciplines and courses to study or carry out research in India. At the same time, the package also introduces parallel measures which will ensure the requisite reciprocity by encouraging Indian students to carry out research or do an internship in Germany. It will also promote two-way exchanges, wherein institutes from both the countries can enter into strategic partnerships or sign MoU’s and exchange student and faculty.
