Poster German Cultural Festival The German Cultural Festival now enters its third decade with the 21st
consecutive edition. This annual highlight of the Goethe-Institut’s activities in collaboration with secondary schools that offer the German language as a subject will bring together over 600 pupils who learn German at their respective secondary schools from different parts of the country.

The event will be hosted at Alliance Girls’ High School in Kikuyu, a short drive away from Nairobi. The competitors will showcase their skills while presenting different items in the German language. These will include songs, poetry, rap, and skits or shortplays. The organizing committee will invite officials from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Nairobi, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), universities and colleges that offer German. This year’s event will also be the culmination of the German Week 2015, to be hosted at various locations in Nairobi and attended by a delegation from the Federal Republic of Germany.
