Picking up the pieces - Cartoons on the post-election crisis in Kenya

Political cartoons are a medium that even in tense political situations can reveal and expose problems in society in a blunt and unsparing way. On this website we are presenting the finest, sharpest and wittiest entries in the cartoon competition on the post-election crisis in Kenya.

Works were received from cartoonists from close to 30 countries. During the launch of the accompanying exhibition, the best three Kenyan cartoons were awarded prizes. Representatives from civil society as well as political analysts were invited to the key topics of the exhibition. Following the resounding success of the exhibition, we are offering this internet version to provide what an exhibition cannot – interactivity. Its crucial part is the discussion forum.
