Studying in Germany

There are good reasons for studying in Germany:
  • The first German university was founded in Heidelberg in 1386. Today you can choose from over 300 further education institutions offering a first-class education.
  • With about 100 million native speakers, German is the most widely-spoken language in Europe. The strengths of the German economy and its increasing global significance make German a language which is becoming ever more important in the world market.
  • The costs of living for students can be reduced thanks to a range of support.
  • As well as a wide range of leisure activities at universities there are many different opportunities off-campus to enjoy sport, culture or numerous other activities.

International courses of studies

Many German universities offer courses leading to an internationally recognised qualification, covering a wide range of options: undergraduate, graduate und postgraduate courses (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD). All courses maintain high academic standards and are well organised; they are taught in English and supplemented with German courses
    Bild UnterrichtEven if you have no academic degress, you can still prepare yourself for these university courses; and, don't forget, in general there are no study fees in German universities yet, and, furthermore, if you want to study in an International Degree Course that is conducted in English you only need 300 hours of German.

    Monday to Friday - except Thursday - from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5pm. The office is closed on Thursdays.

    German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)

    In Malaysia you will find answers to your study related questions at the office of DAAD Kuala Lumpur. The main objective of DAAD is scholarship services for students in Malaysia. Apart from that they inform students about university courses and research oriented studies in Germany and they are distributing brochures for such topics.
