First meeting in São Paulo of representatives of the Goethe-Institut São Paulo and Cenpes, an Amazon research group run by the Brazilian oil company Petrobras and headed by the sociologist José Wagner Garcia. The declared objective was to establish a partnership between the two institutions and pave the way for an initial excursion into the Amazon region.
