Tina Bara born in 1962 in Kleinmachnow/GDR. Lives and works in Berlin and Leipzig.

  • From 1980–1986, studied history and art history at the Humboldt University, Berlin
  • 1986–1989 she pursued extra-mural studies in photography at the Academy of Visual Arts (AVA) in Leipzig with Professor Arno Fischer
  • In July 1989 she left for West Berlin
  • Since 1993 she has been a professor for photography at the AVA in Leipzig
  • From 2000 on, she has been collaborating on projects and artistic works with Alba D’Urbano

Alba D’Urbano born in 1955 in Tivoli/Italy. Lives and works in Leipzig.

  • 1974–1978she studied philosophy at the University “La Sapienza” in Rome
  • 1978–1983 painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome
  • In 1995 she was appointed to the Academy of Visual Arts (AVA), Leipzig, where since 1998 she has directed the Ordinariat of comparative media
  • Since 2000 she has collaborated with Tina Bara on project-related and artistic works
