Christian Borchert born in 1942 in Dresden; died in 2000.
- From 1960–1963 he studied at the Academy of Film Technology Engineering at Potsdam- Babelsberg; he then worked as an engineer
- From 1970– 1975 he worked as a photojournalist at the Neue Berliner Illustrierte (NBI)
- From 1971–1974 he took extra-mural studies at the Academy of Visual Arts (AVA) in Leipzig
- From 1975 on, he worked as a freelance photographer
