Shailo Dzhekshenbayev born in 1947 in the village of Sailyk, Kyrgyzstan. Lives and works
in Bishkek.
- Graduated in 1971 from the architecture faculty of the Polytechnical Institute in Frunze (now Bishkek).
- Won the Kirghizian Republic State Toktogul Prize for architecture in 1976 for his design of the National Museum of Fine Arts.
- In 1981 he qualified as a director of animated films at the Cinematic Academy of Goskino in Moscow.
- Directed animated films in 1983–1986.
- In 2000 took part in a workshop for professional photographers (master class by Jean Gaumy – Magnum Photo agency, Paris), certified as a professional photographer.
