Vladimir Kupriyanov born in 1954 in Moscow, where he lives and works.
- Participated in unofficial exhibitions in Moscow in 1974.
- Graduated from the Institute of Culture as a theatrical director in 1976.
- Began to use photography in his work in 1980.
- 1984–2003 associate professor at the Printing Industry Institute.
- From 2007 professor of art photography at the Moscow Rodchenko School of Photography and Multimedia.
