Peirene Press is a small independent publishing house in London which was founded by the journalist and writer Meike Ziervogel in 2008. Peirene specializes in contemporary European literature in English translation. Since 2005 Meike Ziervogel has also written for New Books in German, a Goethe-Institut publication that reviews German-language writing for the British publishing market. Peirene Press's publications list includes books by the German writer Friedrich Christian Delius.
