This London and Calcutta based publishing house was established nearly thirty years ago and is part of the Seagull Art Foundation which seeks to promote theatre, cinema and art through various projects and publications in cooperation with other cultural institutions. Alongside specific series, German and French books also feature in its range. A part of these translations is made possible by support programmes, such as the translation grant programme offered by the Goethe-Institut. The publications distinguish themselves through elaborate cover designs displaying Seagull´s interest and investment in the realm of art.
