Götz Diergarten

1972 born in Mannheim
1993-1998 photographic studies at the Kunstakademie (Art Academy) Düsseldorf, class of Prof. Bernd Becher

2006-2007 Künstlerhaus-Schloss-Balmoral-Artist-in Residence at the London University of Arts' Research Centre for Transnational Art, Identity and Nation (TrAIN)

On Götz Diergarten's works: "Diergarten shares methodological parallels with the Bechers’ conceptually-oriented black and white photographs, including the use of typology as a means to structure photographic series. His images of vernacular architecture emphasise colour and surface, building a relationship between photography and colour field and constructivist painting."
