The Last Beethoven Competition 2016

2016 will be the last chance for Thailand’s young musicians to compete for the honor to performance at famous Beethovenfest in Bonn. Goethe-Institut completes its long tradition of Beethoven Competition in Thailand with a special promotion: for the first and last time string players and pianists at the same time can take part in the competition. Since 2007 a selected jury of renowned music experts has chosen the most talented musician to participate at Beethoven-Festival. Last year two pianists were honored to give a concert in Bonn and Ms. Pitchayapa Lueangtawikit and Mr. Khunakorn Svasti-Xuto elated the German audience with their impressive performances.

Beethoven Competition was established in 2007 to create a platform for Thailand’s young string players and pianists. Through the years Goethe-Institut has woven an international network of individual artists and experts which is distinguished by diversity, creativity and professionalism. “Echte Kunst ist eigensinnig” is a famous quote of Ludwig van Beethoven and means, the real art is obstinate. Nevertheless Beethoven Competition has shown that it is that real art which unites us across national boundaries. Music speaks an intelligible language for each listener.

So let us speak and listen to the final Beethoven Competition 2016!
