The Beethoven Competition is an annual platform for music excellence in Thailand. It helps to develop the performing skills of musicians in Thailand, improves musical standards and identifies music talents for public performances.
Last year, we congratulated all six winners of the string competition. Visanee Vongvirulh (20) from College of Music, Mahidol University and Jirajet Jesadachet (17) from Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University have received the first prize in their respective age groups. In addition, both talented violinists are invited to visit one of the prominent classical music festival of the world "Beethovenfest Bonn" and perform an evening concert on October 4 this year.
The winners of piano competition 2009, Han Nah Son and Gun Chaikittiwatana performed a concert at the Beethovenfest in Bonn, Germany, on October 6, 2010. The international audience was impressed with the performance by the young musicians from Thailand. Further information of this festival can be found on the official website www.beethovenfest.de.
