Film Selection 2025 - Science Film Festival - Knowledge Through Entertainment

The Science Film Festival presents a wide assortment of films in the following five categories to serve all age groups, but with a focus on content for young audiences:

Natural Science, Life Science & Technology
Non-Verbal & Science Shorts
Culture & History

The Science Film Festival received over 1,500 films from 100 countries in 2025 and over 30 local science education and science communication professionals in the participating festival countries chose 123 films from 37 countries that made up the official selection.

A heartfelt thank you to all the filmmakers, producers, broadcasters, and distributors who participated! The award winners are now announced on our website.

The call for submissions is open until March 15, 2026. Submit your films using our online application or our FilmFreeway page. Please read our guidelines for detailed information before submission.

The official selection of the Science Film Festival 2026 will be announced in September.
