Science Film Festival in Indonesia 7th Edition

In 2016, the Science Film Festival is back in Indonesia for the seventh time with the theme Material Science. This theme was selected because of the importance of materials science in our daily lives. Some materials were very recently discovered that the scientists almost have no idea what to do with the materials - The only known fact upon discovery was that these materials have the the ability to change our lives. Scientists are now turning to computers to design and explore the characteristics of the materials even before these materials reach the laboratorium. Some of the material that triggered the curiousity of the scientists currently exist only in theory. The goal now is to make the material reality. Each material has the potential

The festival has reached 50.146 visitors in 2015. This year, we are planning to bring this great program to Aceh, Ambon, Bali, Bandung, Banyuwangi, Batam, Bogor, Jakarta, Jayapura, Kupang, Magelang, Malang, Malinau, Medan, Salatiga, Samarinda, Sidoarjo, Soe, Solo, Surabaya, Tangerang, Tapanuli Tengah, Tasikmalaya, Toba Samosir, Waikabubak and Yogyakarta. A selection of 13 films will be screened in 26 cities In Indonesia from the 9th to the 25th November 2016.
