The Fourth Science Film Festival 2008

In 2008, the Science Film Festival Thailand was a record breaking success with over 88,000 visitors. A selection of 36 films from 10 countries was screened in Bangkok at the Children’s Discovery Museum, the National Science Museum, the NSTDA Thailand Science Park, the Science Centre for Education, and the Thailand Knowledge Park during the ten days of the event. Furthermore, the films were concurrently presented in 21 universities and 5 schools nationwide.

The visitor numbers for 2008 and the extensive range of side programmes establish the Science Film Festival Thailand as the largest event of its kind in the world and the festival serves as a significant initiative for the diffusion and development of science film and television in Southeast Asia.
