Science Film Festival 2010 Breaks another Record!
In 2010 the Science Film Festival exceeded all expectations with a total of 128,000 visitors – a worldwide record breaking number. A selection of 47 films from 17 countries was screened to pupils, students and the general public in Thailand. For the first time a selection of films were also shown in Indonesia, Cambodia and the Philippines. With the audience figures and the positive resonance at all levels the Science Film Festival 2010 was a resounding success.
The audience figures for 2010 maintains the Science Film Festival as the most visited event of its kind in the world and the festival serves as a significant cultural initiative for the diffusion and development of science film and television in Southeast Asia, addressed through several complimenting activities with students and regional media.
