Biography
Artemis is an architect and multimedia artist inspired by the convergence of natural landscape with technology. Through the fabrication of participatory installations and the reinvention of objects, she explores the potential of the natural element, through simulation, systems thinking and interactivity. In addition, she directs the Athens Plaython, a street games festival that hosts big games, design & technology workshops. Her professional practice includes AFU Custom Furniture in Athens, Cinimod Studio and Jason Bruges Studio in London and she has led workshops for MzTek and Frown Tails. Her work has been exhibited in shows such as; RemapKM (Athens 2011), Chi-Tek (Victoria & Albert Museum 2011), Locus Solus (Benaki Museum, Athens 2010), Passing Through (James Taylor Gallery 2009), Kinetica Art Fair (P3 Exhibition Space 2009), Double Take (Eyebeam New York, 2008) and presented in conferences such as ISEA Belfast (2009).
