Biography
Makis Faros was born in Athens in 1967. He is an electronic music composer, musician, filmmaker and video artist. From 1999 till 2003 he taught video technology and editing at the Athens School of Fine Arts and from 1996 until today he has been teaching aesthetics of audiovisual media at the Focus School. In the 90s he was involved in music composition and participated in music groups such as the ‘’Melting Ashes’’, ‘’Spider's Web’’, ‘’Raw’’ and ‘’This Fluid’’. He has participated in 9 music CD’s and LP’s, and has composed soundtracks for several short films, TV shows, theatrical productions and contemporary dance projects. In 1999 he directed a video magazine about video art for the Greek National Television programme «Video Gallery». He is a partner of the Contemporary Dance group ”Dancers" and Stamatopoulou Persas’s modern dance group.
