Kristof Magnusson, Männerhort
Born in 1976 in Hamburg, Kristof Magnusson studied at the German Creative Writing Programme in Leizig, at the University of Reykjavik and at the Berlin University of the Arts. Today he divides his team between Berlin and Hamburg.

The play “Männerhort” (“Men’s Nursery”) concerns four men who have had enough of their wives’ compulsive shopping habits and decide to barricade themselves inside a basement instead. The play was performed on 16 stages throughout Germany in the 2006/2007 season.

“The first lines of dialogue already indicate that this is the work of a playwright on a par with Woody Allen or Billy Wilder, with Alan Ayckburn, Neil Simon or Yasmina Reza. Magnusson has a rare talent for concocting bold dialogue of the blackest humor, sometimes verging on the impudent – it’s a gift from heaven, also for the actors.” (Die Welt)

Kristof Magnusson will be present for a Q&A after the staged reading. Translation and project: Sibel Arslan Yeşilay. In cooperation with the Antalya State Theater.
