Urs has looked after his old mother for many years. Now he’s starting out on a dangerous journey with her. He carries her up a mountain to find a better future for the two of them. But his mother doesn’t want to leave home…

Moritz Mayerhofer,

born 1981, studied animation at the Film Academy of Baden-Württemberg from 2003 to 2009. In 2005 war Moritz was a jury member at the Zlín Film Festival (Czech Republic) and the Roshd International Film Festival (Iran). He was also a consultant at FMX 2006 und 2009 and at the Computerspace Forum 2007 in Bulgaria. He studied for a year at the animation school Le Gobelins in Paris and took part in several international congresses on European coproductions. After completing his studies, which he capped with the ten-minute animated film “Urs”, he is now developing several short films and a feature-length animated film.
