The Goethe-Institut Chicago is located at 150 N. Michigan Avenue, at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Randolph Street in the Smurfit-Stone Building. Our office is on the second floor, Suite 200.

Directions to Parking Garages close to the Goethe-Institut:

Grant Park North Underground Garage
If you are coming from the north or south on Michigan Avenue, the entrances to the parking garage are located in the center of Michigan Avenue. You can enter the garage on Michigan Avenue between Madison and Randolph Streets.

The East Monroe Street and Millennium Park Underground Garage
Coming from the north, the entrance is on Columbus Drive and Randolph Street. Coming from the south, the entrance is on Columbus Drive and Monroe Street. For more information, please call 312-742-7644.

There are also two self-park garages on Randolph Street between Michigan Avenue and State Street (one is next to Gallery 37, the other is across the street from Marshall Fields). These garages are more expensive than 1) and 2) above.


Public Transportation (CTA):
You can use the „El“ (Blue or Red Line to Washington station; or Orange, Purple, Brown oder Green Line to Randolph Street station ) to get to the Goethe-Institut.

Or, you can use city buses no. 3, 3X, 4, 4X, 19, 26, N66, 124, 143, 145, 147, 151, 157, 173 to Michigan and Randolph
