German American Partnership Program (GAPP)

Since its founding in 1972, the German American Partnership Program has developed into the most successful exchange program between the United States and Germany. The program enriches everyday life in schools and gives a boost both to foreign-language and social studies classrooms.

The Transatlantic Classroom

Bild MedienBild Medien The Transatlantic Classroom brings together teachers and learners in the US and Germany via email and internet, improving foreign language skills while providing contact with others interested in things German.

In addition to enabling contact among individuals, there are general discussion groups and live-chats for students (“Classroom” option) and teachers (“Teachers Room” option)
