Mark Simon

Born in 1954, Mark Simon is a German-American photographer, lecturer, and filmmaker. He has worked in Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Currently he is directing “Gay and Happy,” a film dealing with the reality of young homosexuals from four different countries who come together for a theater workshop. Since 2004 Simon has been teaching film and photography at the “Berlin Program” of the Lexia University, USA. His commissions have included: National Geographic, Geo-Saison, Stern, Time, Newsweek, Der Spiegel, Art in America, Granta, Facts, The International Herald Tribune and The New York Times.
