19th Berlin & Beyond Film Festival
January 29-February 3, 2015

We are immensely thrilled to unveil the official selections of the 19th Berlin & Beyond Film Festival. America's leading festival of new cinema from German-speaking countries will take place at San Francisco's legendary movie palace the Castro Theatre (Jan. 29-Feb. 1), the Goethe-Institut San Francisco (Feb. 1-2), the Aquarius Theatre in Palo Alto (Feb. 2) and the California Theatre in Berkeley (Feb. 3). A star-studded delegation flying in to San Francisco will include the legendary actress Hannelore Elsner, director Doris Dörrie, actor Ronald Zehrfeld, director Pepe Danquart and director Peter Luisi. The festival will open with the US Premiere of Uwe Janson's "To Life!" starring Hannelore Elsner and Max Riemelt.
