5th Anniversary Berlin & Beyond Film Festival Honolulu

Aloha! Join us at the Doris Duke Theatre, January 19-21, for a vivid program of seven thought-provoking films from Berlin & Beyond, America's leading festival of German cinema. All films will make their Hawaiʻi' premieres at this special series that include: Audience Award-winning social comedy "Welcome to Germany"; Christian Petzold's "Transit", based on Anna Seghers' renowned novel; "3 Days in Quiberon", seven-time winner of the German Film Awards, including Best Picture; Claus Räfle's moving docudrama "The Invisibles," about young Jewish people surviving the Third Reich by living "invisibly."

    BMW of Honolulu will host the Opening Reception on January 19th at 4:00 PM in the newly renovated showroom. Enjoy drinks and pupus, and celebrate the festival. Valet parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. After the reception till 6:30 PM, BMW of Honolulu will provide a luxurious shuttle service for the guests in the latest BMW to the Doris Duke Theatre. (Please note that the Opening Night film program will begin at 6:00 PM at the theatre.)
