About the Poet: Ingrid Schulz
Ingrid Schulz speaks eight languages, and works teaching German to foreigners when she is not writing her poems, stories, and songs, many of which are written expressly for children and for those adults still young enough at heart to enjoy playing with words. In 2005 her book Sprechen-Spielen-Singen was published.

About the Poem: Arrival
Commuters everywhere will identify with the experience captured here in so few words: the monotonous routine, morning and night, that always somehow ends, at last, successfully. If any poem can claim to have caught the common thread running through daily life in every major city in the world today, this is probably it.
