LANSBURGH'S

Lansburgh's is a famous old name in Washington and has been present on 7th Street since the mid-19th century. Much like today, 19th century businesses used advertising to attract and retain customers. Commonly, these trade cards had a pre-printed design that only required adding the name of a particular shop. Other times, the cards were designed especially for individual stores.

Advertising card: Lansburgh & Bro., Dry Goods.
