Litha Ncokazi Litha Ncokazi hails from the rural village of Cwecweni in Ngcobo in Eastern Cape, South Africa. He is a creative-social-entreprenuer and academic with more than 13 years lecturing experience. Since being recruited by WSU in 2009 his academic employment afforded him the opportunity of mentoring undergraduate students some of whom went on to become well accomplished creatives, art practitioners and art administrators in varioius professional environments.

On the other hand; Litha has devoted himself to a personal development project which helped him grow a strong entrepreneurial network base and brand association. He has most notably refused to neglect his creative practice career which in most cases tends to suffer due to the circumstance of operating in a  fultime job. Litha has steadily grown his visual art practice producing artwork which embodies his critialy view to life, socio-economic and human identity issues which emanate as a product of social impressions on indivual human beings. Owing to his entrepreneurial drive, he established two arts organizations viz, Art Versatile and Creatives Enclave which became springboards upon which he launched his fully functional private art studio, a ceramics manufacturing unit and an art gallery and a soon to be established arts residency in East London. At first, Litha’s desire to pursue a career in the practice of visual art grew more when he moved to East London to enrol with the then Border Technikon to do a National Diploma in Fine Art which he completed in 2003. Subsequently graduated his B. Tech Fine Art degree from the same institution in 2005. Litha’s most notable academic achievements was his attainment of both the National Diploma and B. Tech Fine Art ‘Cum Laude’. He is now completing his Master in Visual Art with Unisa.
