The Goethe-Institut, in cooperation with its South African partners, offers professional development seminars and other events for South African teachers of German. These seminars are regularly offered at the Goethe-Institut Johannesburg, in Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town and Bloemfontein. Topics that are discussed are according to expectations of the new South African curriculum as well as concerns of the German teachers.
Seminars are also hosted in Namibia, in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut.
The Language Advisor of the Goethe-Institut South Africa is generally responsible for organising and leading these events.
