Hard to beat. Goethe-Zertifikat C2: Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung (ZOP).

On 01.01.2012 the Goethe-Zertifikat C2: Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom will replace the Goethe-Zertifikat C2: Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung.

It replaces the three exams currently in use on the C2 level: the Goethe-Zertifikat: Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung (ZOP), the Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom (KDS) and the Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom (GDS).

The new exam will be supervised and organized onsite by the exam center: they make the exam appointments.

The Goethe-Zertifikat C2: ZOP will be administered through the end of December 2011. Repetition of portions of this exam must occurr on or before May 31, 2012, at the latest.

Certificates issued in connection with the ZOP exam will maintain their validity and will continue to serve as written proof, along with the new Goethe-Zertifikat C2: GDS, for admission to universities
