Anja Casser

Biographical Information

Anja Casser, born in 1973 in Münster, has been director of the Badischer Kunstverein (Baden Art Association) in Karlsruhe since 2007.

After studying art history in Freiburg and Munich, Casser worked as an independent curator for several years, amongst others for the 6th Werkleitz Biennale in Halle/Saale in 2004, at Siemens Arts Program and kunstraum münchen in Munich, and at the Westfälischer Kunstverein in Münster. In addition to her curatorial activities, Casser held a lecturing post at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (faculty of media) in 2005/2006, was a fellowship holder at the Research Institute for the History of Science and Technology at the Deutsches Museum in Munich in 2004/2005, and has been a member of the board of kunstraum münchen in Munich since 2006. Casser has edited a number of catalogues and other publications, most recently “The Vision Behind. Technische und soziale Innovationen im Unternehmensfilm ab 1950” (co-edited by Beate Hentschel).
