Ethnological Museum Berlin
With a total of 500,000 objects from throughout the world and large numbers of sound recordings, documentary photographs and films, the Ethnological Museum ranks among the largest and best of its kind. The museum collects, preserves and researches cultural products of pre-industrial societies, primarily outside of Europe. The museum embraces the following collections: Africa, American archaeology, American ethnology, Europe, the Islamic World, Eastern and Northern Asia, South and South-East Asia, the South Seas and Australia, as well as the ethnology of music. For the tropics exhibition in Brazil, the museum has made available 130 of its best exhibits. |

The German Federal Cultural Foundation
The German Federal Cultural Foundation promotes, within the scope of federal competence, projects on contemporary culture that are devoted to topics of importance to society as a whole and have an international orientation. The Foundation was established in 2002 by the German Federal Government and has its headquarters in Halle an der Saale, Germany.
